Last week was well spent in upstate New York's Hudson Valley. In celebration of my mother-in-law's birthday, we stayed in a lakeside house, cooked loads of local goodies, visited nearby farms, and drank plenty of rosé. Here are some snaps from our little getaway in the Hudson Valley.
Kinderhook Farm was the perfect place to pick up these beautiful multicolored eggs...almost too pretty to eat.
but we did....and they were great.
A visit to Hudson Valley would not be complete without a stop at Little Ghent Farm for some life changing sourdough bread, smokey and spicy baba ganoush, and a lovely tour led by one of the gorgeous farm's proprietors.
Of course my trusted co-p, Henry was nearby to make sure we went running.
My brother-in-law is an amazing chef, he made this refreshing and light tomato, watermelon, and feta salad.
I made an epic grilled corn salad. Similar recipe coming soon to crunchy radish.
We found out that balsamic grilled cabbage is incredible!
My mother-in-law baked a beautiful and delicious peach and blueberry pie.
and Henry mastered the art of sun bathing.
